Welcome to Bump and Bloom. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our services and website ([Your Website Address]
). By booking a course with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Definitions
"We", "Us", "Our" refers to Bump and Bloom.
"You", "Your" refers to the individual making the booking and attending the course.
"Course" refers to any antenatal course, workshop, or session provided by us.
"Birth Partner" refers to the one individual you choose to bring with you to the course.
2. Our Courses & Booking
2.1. The price listed for our Antenatal Courses is for one person plus one Birth Partner. Your Birth Partner can be anyone you wish. You are also welcome to attend the course alone if you prefer.
2.2. Each course requires a minimum of 3 bookings to run and has a maximum capacity of 8 bookings to ensure a personal, interactive experience.
2.3. Upon booking, we will require details for both you and your attending Birth Partner. However, only the individual who made the booking and payment is authorised to make any amendments to that booking.
2.4. After your booking is complete, we will provide you with a booking confirmation via email. This will outline the specific dates, times, and venue for your course, as well as serve as a receipt for your payment.
3. Cancellations, Amendments & Refunds
3.1. Cancellation by You & Refund Policy
We understand that exceptional circumstances can occur. All requests to cancel a course booking must be made in writing by emailing us at

.Our refund policy is as follows:
Within 14 days of the initial booking: You are entitled to a full refund.
More than 4 weeks before the course start date: A refund of 75% of the course fee may be offered, subject to our discretion regarding exceptional circumstances.
Within 4 weeks of the course start date: No refund will be offered unless in exceptional circumstances, subject to our discretion.
After the course has started: No refund will be offered.
If you miss sessions due to your baby's arrival after 37 weeks of pregnancy, you will not be eligible for a refund for the missed sessions.
"Exceptional Circumstances" are determined at our sole discretion. We will consider the details you provide and may ask for supporting documents to evidence your circumstances before confirming if a refund or alternative course booking can be offered.
All approved refunds will be processed within 7 working days.
3.2. Amendments by You
If you are unable to attend your booked course, we can support you in moving to a different course date, subject to availability. This option is only available if the request is made more than 4 weeks before the original course start date.
You cannot transfer or amend your course booking once the course has started.
Any bookings made within 14 days of the course start date are non-refundable and non-transferable.
3.3. Cancellation by Us
As stated in clause 2.2, our courses require a minimum number of participants to run. We reserve the right to cancel a course at any time if minimum numbers are not met.
We also reserve the right to cancel a course for any other unforeseen reason.
In the event of cancellation by us, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer you the choice of a booking on a suitable alternative course date or a full refund.
3.4. Changes due to External Events
In the event of an act of nature or circumstances beyond our control, such as severe weather conditions (e.g., heavy snow) or a pandemic, where personal safety could be compromised by attending in person, we reserve the right to transition your course to an online format. In this eventuality, refunds or discounts will not be provided as the full course content will still be delivered.
4. Your Responsibilities & Code of Conduct
4.1. We ask that you and your Birth Partner treat our course leaders and all other participants with patience, kindness, and respect at all times.
4.2. For the safety and wellbeing of everyone in the group, we reserve the right to remove you from a course and cancel your booking without a refund if our behavioural expectations are not met or if we have safeguarding concerns.
4.3. Punctuality: To ensure our sessions can start on time and the teaching is not rushed, we ask that you please arrive 5 minutes before the scheduled start time. In fairness to all paying participants in the group, should you arrive late, we will not be able to pause the session or revisit content that has already been covered.
4.4. Allergies & Dietary Needs: Refreshments provided during the course may contain allergens. It is your responsibility to list any and all allergies or dietary requirements for both yourself and your Birth Partner on your booking form. While we will endeavour to provide a suitable alternative, we cannot be held liable for any allergic reaction if you have not provided us with this information.
5. Our Responsibilities
5.1. We follow Safe Operating Procedures and complete full Risk Assessments on all venues we use to ensure your safety during our courses.
5.2. Accessibility: We strive to use venues that are accessible. We encourage you to contact us before booking to discuss any specific accessibility requirements you or your Birth Partner may have so we can do our best to accommodate you.
6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
6.1. Scope of Information & Educational Nature of Courses
The information provided during your course is intended for general educational and guidance purposes only. It should not and does not substitute professional medical advice from your designated medical team (e.g., your NHS Midwife, GP, or Consultant).
Although we are midwife-led and aim to provide relevant, evidence-based information, it is given "as is" without any guarantees about its accuracy or applicability to your specific situation.
We cannot provide specific information or clinical advice regarding health-related enquiries concerning your pregnancy, birth, or baby. Any concerns of this nature must be directed to your medical team, who are solely responsible for your clinical care.
6.2. Limitation of Liability
By attending our course, you agree that we cannot be held liable for the outcomes of decisions you make, or choose not to make, based on information provided in our course or course materials.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we expressly exclude all conditions, warranties, and other terms which might otherwise be implied by law. We cannot accept responsibility or liability for loss, damage, or injury to any person or property as a result of or in connection with attending our courses.
Should we be found liable for any reason, our aggregate liability shall be limited to the total course fee paid by you. We will not be liable for any indirect, special, or consequential loss.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation.
7. Photography and Videography
7.1. We occasionally take photographs or short videos during course sessions, which we may use for promotional purposes, including on our website or social media channels.
7.2. We will always ask for your clear verbal consent at the start of a session before taking any images or videos. You have the right to decline consent without providing a reason.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1. All materials provided to you as part of the course, including but not limited to handouts, worksheets, and presentation slides, are the intellectual property of Bump and Bloom.
8.2. These materials are for your personal use only and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or shared with third parties without our express written permission.
9. Data Protection
9.1. We are committed to protecting your privacy. The personal information you provide during booking and attendance will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be found here: [Link to Your Privacy Policy]
and is compliant with UK GDPR.
10. General Legal Provisions
10.1. Governing Law: These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
10.2. Jurisdiction: Each party agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of these Terms.
10.3. Force Majeure: We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from any cause that is beyond our reasonable control. Such causes include, but are not limited to power failure, industrial action, civil unrest, fire, flood, storms, earthquakes, acts of terrorism, acts of war, governmental action or any other event that is beyond our control.
